Details about Marie's service.

It does not feel real that I am typing these words... and yet, it's happening.  I'm so happy for my Little Mama, so sad for us.  Sarah is beautiful and so far, a very good girl.  Being that she is sister of Josie and Marie (two girls capable of great misbehaving) I am expecting this will change.  Below are details for the service.  Thank you all for the continued words of support and prayer, they mean more to us than words can say.

Marie's service will be at Zion Lutheran at 10:30 am.  She was baptized on Easter, this will be a re-creation of that service.  Her "Easter 2" as our Pastor called it.

Memorial donations can be made to Eli's Angels and Hospice of the Plains.

Apparently all the hotels in town are booked up.  There are rooms available at the Ramada in Sterling.  They have a bereavement rate.

Thank you all so much, we are touched and blessed.

Dear Marie's family, I wish that I lived closer and could attend Marie's service. A virtual hug does not seem like enough. We will be thinking of you all. . . Marie's amazing mama and papa, her loving big sister and the beautiful little sister she was able to welcome.

It is so mysterious why things happen the way that they do. Marie's job must have been to make sure little Sarah made it here safely. Then God said, your job is done come Home to me. Know that her beautiful, gentle soul will live on through your words, Shan, her sisters, her family and all those that love her. She is a lucky little lady to be dancing with the angels. That does not mean you will not miss her, but let the love that people are sending help carry you through this difficult time. She will continue to touch many lives with her brilliant spirit.

Sending you abundant peace and light, Nena and Reese

I wish that I could be there. After the years reading your CB and now, blog - I so wish I could be there to celebrate her life. She is an amazing ispiration to all, and to know she is able to run with the other children in heaven, is just amazing.

I know you must feel so lost without her on earth, but she left you as another gift entered. She knew she was waiting for the perfect time.

God bless you all,
Jennie

Shan,

I have been thinking of you and praying for you and your family so often, and am so saddened for your loss! I can't even begin to comprehend the range of emotions that you are going through right now!

I know that God has His hand in all of this and that He will give you the strength, hope and peace to sustain. I'm sure that you see the grace in many situations right now. I can't help but think of the fact that your sweet Marie probably hung on until she knew that your family had Sarah to fill your hearts, where a huge hole would be, when she was gone. I praise God for this and I pray that this is a blessing to you at this time.

Marie's life has touched so many.....she touched mine tremendously, and from way over here in Michigan! She and you fit more into a lifetime than most EVER do! God's purpose for her was complete and now she is whole and healed! Like you said, this is a blessing for her, but such a heartache for you and so many!

Know that I wish that I could be with you at her service, but I will be with you in spirit and praying for you OFTEN! Words can not even begin to express what I am feeling for you and your family, but I know that my prayers for you are being heard and I pray that you are feeling some peace from that!

Also, I totally forgot to congratulate you on Sarah Kate! So, CONGRATULATIONS!!! A new baby is such a blessing! I am very happy for you in this!

LOVE, HUGS AND PRAYERS FOR YOU SWEET FRIEND!!!

Dear Shan and family. I am Alicia VanderWall's mother, Carole Doty from Grand Rapids, MI.

I spent the day with Alicia and the boys yesterday. Alicia told me about sweet Marie's passing...I am so tremendously sorrowful for you and your precious family, Shan! I am also tremendously joyful for sweet Marie...AT HOME WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WITH NO PAIN, NO SUFFERING, NOTHING BUT PURE JOY AND CONTENTMENT FOREVER! PRAISE GOD!

Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendship with my daughter, and for making our precious Gavin the cushions for his stroller...they make a world of differnce. Alicia speaks of you often, and feels extremely blessed for having you in her "blog" world. I pray you will be able to meet some day.

God Bless your family, and also..congratulations on precious Sarah Kate. God is so good to us!
Her birth brings joy in this sorrowful time in your lives.
